What is an Affirmation?

It’s all about what you put into your body, and I’m not talking about food, but positive thoughts and positive habits that become a ritual. Something for you to use everyday in whichever way works that will ultimately change your way of thinking.  

This is all about your body. Not how to quickly lose all of your unwanted weight, but to get your mind in a good space to be able to reach that body specific goal safely and in a healthy way. 

There are so many, too many fad diets that promise abs in 5 days; but even if you accomplish that, how long do you think you’ll be able to maintain this? If you go too fast, and in a way that isn’t healthy, those habits that you tried to form won’t stay put, it will disappear. Affirmations are daily disciplines one should follow by. 

Let’s look at 7 affirmations you can try and use to stay connected to your body but also to your goals.

  1. I feed my body healthy nourishing food and exercise because it deserves to be taken care of.
  2. I love and respect myself.
  3. My body is a temple. I treat it with love and respect.
  4. I have everything inside of me that I need to take care of myself.
  5. I am confident and I love myself.
  6. I live a balanced life, I am a good steward of my body.
  7. I am fit and choose to live an active lifestyle.
